The world is facing huge global challenges: Climate change, overpopulation, massive amounts of waste, worldwide pollution. We all know: something needs to change. And yet: We are all still too wrapped up in our own problems and goals. Companies are not yet ready to commit themselves completely to sustainability, because they also have to make a profit. Anthony Day of Hashtag#IBM says: We can change the world. Through networks that can ensure sustainability on the one hand and profits for companies on the other. So that our children can have a great world, too. And Blockchain can play an important role in this – how it can all happen, why it’s important to him (and us), Anthony explains in this episode.

Die Welt steht vor enormen globalen Herausforderungen: Klimawandel, Überbevölkerung, riesige Abfallmengen, weltweite Umweltverschmutzung. Wir alle wissen: Es muss sich etwas ändern. Und doch: Wir sind alle noch zu sehr in unsere eigenen Probleme und Ziele verwickelt. Unternehmen sind noch nicht bereit, sich ganz der Nachhaltigkeit zu verpflichten, weil sie auch Gewinn machen müssen. Anthony Day von #IBM sagt: Wir können die Welt verändern. Durch Netzwerke, die Nachhaltigkeit auf der einen Seite und Gewinne für Unternehmen auf der anderen Seite sicherstellen können. Damit auch unsere Kinder eine große Welt haben können. Und Blockchain kann dabei eine wichtige Rolle spielen – wie das alles passieren kann, warum es ihm (und uns) wichtig ist, erklärt Anthony in dieser Episode.
